Brand Identity

We were bummed a friend of Forge was packing up and moving to Detroit to start a business, but we were stoked he asked us to help brand his new company before he left. Detroit Image Works specializes in printing, scanning, and retouching photography and fine art imagery. They came to us with a few examples of logos they were keen on and asked us to create a logo and other branding elements to help launch their new business. After presenting several design directions, we settled on a simple, clean logo and word mark that alluded to the inks used in fine art printing. When DIW finally opened up shop we sent them a snazzy new signage kit to help dress up their building and officially seal the deal.
